What is it called in English??
What is it called in English??
When I eat lunch or dinner with foreigner, they often ask "What is it?". Especially when it comes to sushi or sasimi, I don't know how to call it in English.
So I learn today
鮪 tuna
鮭 salmon
鯖 mackerel
鰯 sardine
数の子 herrin roe
河豚 globefish
鮎 sweetfish sweet??
穴子 conger
あじ horse mackerel
ほっけ Atka mackerel
さんま saury
鯛 sea bream
鰹 bonito
Oh, it's quite a lot. I'm not sure I can remember all. But I will try to tell and explain the food next time.

I needed only three words, when I ordered the sushi at the sushi shop of local area at USA.
I asked them, way?
They answered, because usually they do not eat other kind of sushi.
In other words, that they can not get other type of fresh fishes.
（Except expensive shop）
Tuna, salmon, and California roll were.
BTW. I ordered a crab, then they served boiled fish paste of crab taste at Mexico.
I was very surprised, then it was expensive.
